Professional biography

Mark Hutchinson is an Australian historian of religion and higher education. He has worked at a number of universities and colleges, including Macquarie, UNSW, Alphacrucis, and the University of Western Sydney, where from time to time he has directed research centres, major projects, and strategic curriculum development. Books include histories of NSW Presbyterianism, of Macquarie University and the University of Western Sydney, on Italian pentecostalism, and aspects of Australian and global evangelicalism. He lives in Sydney, Australia, where he is currently Dean of Humanities at The Scots College.
