Professional biography

David Hirsh is a lecturer in TESOL at the University of Sydney. He has taught on a range of postgraduate TESOL and EAP programs in Thailand, New Zealand and Australia. His research focuses on vocabulary studies, language assessment, and academic acculturation. He is currently investigating the function of scientific vocabulary in undergraduate textbooks, and undertaking research into academic pathways.
