Gillian is an experienced educator with more than 30 years of teaching expertise with the NSW Department of Education. She began her career as a Technological and Applied Studies teacher after completing her Bachelor of Education at the University of Sydney.
Throughout her career, Gillian has taught in a number of NSW public schools across Sydney and has taken on advisory roles in curriculum, student health and wellbeing, teacher training, and stakeholder engagement. Her passion for teacher professional development, student agency, and meaningful community partnerships drives Gillian in supporting preservice teachers.
In her current role, Gillian will work closely with the University of Sydney and is excited to support the next generation of teachers to access information on scholarships, professional experience placements, and early employment opportunities with the NSW Department of Education.
